Restricted items

Restricted items 

 

Certain items may endanger your safety if passengers take them onboard. That is why transportation as hand or checked baggage is prohibited or restricted. 
Please find below the list of restricted items which is not exhaustive and can be extended at any time.

Restrictions will be applied to certain devices during your Luxair flight. The quantity of devices will be defined beforehand. If these limits are exceeded, transport will be prohibited.
When prior approval is necessary, please contact the Customer Service Centre (+352) 2456-1.

  • flammable liquid

    • Alcoholic beverages 

    Alcoholic beverages are allowed if they are packed in retail packaging and do not contain more than 70% alcohol by volume in bottles not exceeding 5 L. The total quantity allowed by passenger is 5 L.

    The installation of a replacement cartridge is permitted but the filling of fuel cells is prohibited.

    The maximum amount of fuel in a fuel cell or a fuel-cell cartridge cannot exceed:

    •    200 ml for liquids,
    •    200 g for solids,
    •    for liquid gas, 120 ml for fuel cells or cartridges for non-metallic fuel cells, or 200 ml for fuel cells or cartridges for metallic fuel cells,
    •    for hydrogen in metallic hydrides, the cartridges for fuel cells must have a water capacity that is less than or equal to 120 ml.

Please note: For reasons of safety and/or security and/or at the request of the authorities, we may refuse to accept baggage containing dangerous goods or prohibited articles, and reserve the right to search your baggage to determine whether you are carrying such items. For that purpose, we may search your baggage in your absence if you are not available and may break any locks attached to your baggage. If the passenger refuses to comply with such requests, we may refuse to transport the Passenger and its baggage.
